The service
Iwas Scam lets you check whether phone numbers and email addresses have been reported by our community and, when available, submit reports of suspected scams. The service is provided for general information to help you make safer decisions — it is not legal, financial, or professional advice.
Accuracy and community reports
Statuses come from community reports and automated dispute windows — not from independent investigation by Iwas Scam. A “reported” label means others have filed reports; it is not a court verdict or guarantee of fraud. Reports can be disputed, expire, or change over time. Always verify through official channels before sending money or sharing sensitive information.
Acceptable use and reporting
Use the service lawfully and in good faith. Do not submit false, harassing, or retaliatory reports. Provide accurate information to the best of your knowledge when reporting. Do not attempt to deanonymize reporters or scrape, bulk-enumerate, or reverse-engineer the service. We may suspend or block access that threatens the safety or integrity of the platform.
Disputes
Reported parties may contest a report through our automated dispute process (when available). Reports enter a grace period before becoming public so parties can respond. Filed disputes move an identifier to an under-review state while evidence and timelines run — resolution follows published rules and time windows, not ad hoc human content moderation. Outcomes are recorded in an immutable audit trail.
Rate limits and security
Public endpoints are rate-limited to prevent abuse and enumeration. Firebase App Check with invisible reCAPTCHA may be required for lookups and reports. Circumventing these protections, using bots at scale, or probing the system to harvest data is prohibited and may result in blocked access.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Iwas Scam and its operators are not liable for any loss or harm arising from your reliance on lookup results, community reports, or downtime. Your use of the service is at your own risk.
